Dad's 05, smoking white

My dad has an 05 6.0, exhaust, intake, edge juice, and it's starting to smoke white.

Ford couldn't figure it out. It's not losing any coolant, and still runs like a scalded dog, so I'm puzzled.

Thanks

Sounds like your Ford techs aren't familiar with the 6.0...

there are 4 things that can cause one to smoke white , egr cooler being the most common but you should see signs of a coolant loss , two the egr valve can stick open and cause white smoke but it should be underpowered and not run correctly unless the edge chip is masking it some, and three the turbo going out can cause a 6.0 to blow some white smoke , but should have some blue smoke mixed in ,if its just beguinning to go out you really want see a power loss but will smoke , would like a little more info on exactly when it smokes , the last thing that can cause white smoke is a injector working loose in the injector cup due to the hold down coming loose will cause white fuel smoke , usually dont see this problem unless someone has within a few thousand miles done an injector repair , hope this helps

:hehe: No, but the clowns they allow to work on our trucks make me appreciate what you guys know and share. :thumb: As you know, I've been in this exact same situation (about a year ago, actually!) with the dealership telling me there is no problem and then having problems restarting my truck when I would fuel up...

This is for you, Marc ->:fawkdance:

I don't a lot about it, but it's a random thing. Somedays it does it when it starts up, then after a few minutes you give it half throttle, it's gone, then an hour later it's smoking again.

I'm lost.
