picked up the new truck today 2012 lariat fx4 cc srw love it first diesel and love driving it, so much power and quiet, that 400 horsepower 800 ft pound of torque is sweet, how do u post pics? and thanks to this site also picked up motorcraft cetane booster which i will run spring, summer , and fall then anti gel in winter, my other question is when i was at the parts counter they said fuel filters were around $100 and a fuel filter change is around $150 that is not much of a savings do do it yourself, what intervals do u change oil and fuel filters? also, what big brand gas stations do u feel have the best quality diesel fuel?

For fuel filters and oil filters I buy online. Diesel filters online is usually the cheapest.
Here is fuel filters for 52 bux.
[FD-4615]Ford 6.7 L Turbo Diesel fuel/water filter kit.(FD4615) - Diesel Filters,Additives, brake rotors, and brake pads for Chevy, Dodge and Ford Diesel Trucks

I buy my fuel from a Kroger that has 6 diesel pumps! Its in a country area so they sell a lot of diesel. I have never once had a water in fuel light on any of our trucks filling up at big stations. I just try to stay away from the one pump diesel stations.

As long as its a station that sells a lot of fuel you will be ok

Make sure you drain your water separator every couple tanks

Congrats! I just bought my 2012 Lariat F350 in June (1st diesel) and love it. A friend of mine who is a Ford diesel mechanic said I didn't need to run the cetane as the motor is made to run on low sulfur. He told me to drain fuel separator every month, buy good fuel, change oil every 5,000 miles and fuel filters every 10,000 miles and the motor will do great. I plan on having a Ford dealer do all the maintenance as I am diesel challenged and hopefully make any warranty issues easier.
