Im looking at a 2003 crew cab long box 4x4 XLT Lariat at a dealer. They told me the fuel pump is out of it, yet it runs and drives. Ive not had a chance to go drive it, as I'm 120 miles away. It's got 146k on the odometer. Any guesses as to what could be wrong? This truck for the price, is almost too good not to pass up.

What price they asking?
Maybe they are so dumb about the fuel pump being out then you could talk em down more? Or maybe they mean that the fuel pump is just really weak.

8500, after more research, I think it may be the HPOP.??

Even HPOP out of it, it won't run. Period.
