Hey guys,

I saw the post about the DIY Boost Fooler. What is it? Why do I want it? Why should I install it? If you've done it was it worth? Anyone want to show me pics of their's done?

If you have a chip that throws a CEL and causes limp you might need one. Good chips avoid the CEL/limp issue.

Chips can mask the code thats all, your still having the problem..do a Boost fooler.

There is no defuel on the Super Duty trucks regardless of boost amount. There is an overboost code that reduces the cycle time of the IPR. The result is a slower gain in acceleration, not a reduction of fuel.

In a way it does since ipr is related to icp which is related to fuel.

I made my Samsung SGH-I997 send this.

i dont understand this boost fooler thing ether, i have tony wildman chip and when ever i put my chip on extreme my service engine soon light comes on at high boosts psi readings, and ive tryed this boost fooler thing before i put it between my map sensor and T split for my boost gauge so the guage is proly 4 inchs from my map sensor, so i kept getting on here and as my light come on ill pull over and adjust the gauge down till the light wont come off then i had no power! it was actually restricting my boost and throwing codes.

The boost fooler is a simple concept. The map sensor will only allow the truck to make 18-20 lbs of boost. When you add the fooler, it fools the computer to read, say 17 lbs, when you are actually boosting 25 or so lbs.

Best thing is to make or buy a fooler that just is a pressure regulator.
