This 2016 F250 has been a solid awesome truck and it just passed the 100K mark last month.
Oil changed at 5K most of the time and I switched to synthetic about the 60k mark but noticed that the engine was considerably noisier so last oil change went back to the regular and thicker oil. Noticed the last couple air filter changes it was pretty oily looking, I change the air filter every two oil changes so it may be 10-12 on average.
Any help appreciated and thanks in advance.

if its on the "dirty air" side, its something you have sucked up.

the foam thing is there to prevent the air filter from filling up with ice.

ICE? LOL, did not know that and no worries about ice in Texas lol.
There is nothing in the air box and the foam is oily too so just trying to find out where that oil comes from.
Was thinking there was a crankcase vent hose connected to it somewhere and maybe was sucking past a pcv valve like the old gas engines?I just popped off the at cover and see no hose inlet at least from above. will try n figure out how to post a pic of the old air filter, again thanks
