I have a 2004 F350 DRW. My mods are a full EGR delete, coolant filtration, straight pipes, sct with ID tunes. Im putting headstuds and black onyx gaskets in it this winter when work seasons over. Ive had the truck for 8 months now and its puked twice but not very bad at all. The first time it happened was about 3 months ago i was just pulling an empty trailer. All of my temps were normal and there was no loss of power or mileage. It just happened again this morning while (three months since last time) i was driving down the highway keeping up with traffice around 70 or 75. I noticed it did it when i stopped off to get fuel. I checked the coolant and its color is normal. There is no sludge or oil in the degas bottle. The coolant level is also in the right spot. slightly above the min. fill line. Could it just be a faulty degas bottle cap? The funny thing is i pulled my gooseneck trailer the other week with about 20,000 lbs including the trailer and not a a drip of coolant leaked out. Ive been pulling a trailer with a skidsteer on it atleast once a week for the past three months and never a drop. Can someone please give me an idea of why it only puked twice and both times when i was just driving normal no heavy loads? Could the degas bottle cap be faulty and need replacing?
Thanks
