Hi,this is whisky6,the question i have is about the
port on the driver side of transmission.
I want to put a temputure sensor in this port and
i was told that there should be fluild coming out
of this port, i had a sensor put in by kid,s brother
and it has never worked when i pulled it out it came
out in pieces the one i got from bank,s was about twice as long,so i stuck a wire in port and showed
the depth as only about 1/2 inch, then i took and
hooked up a shop vac. to port to see if there was anything in port nothing came not even fluid.
bank,s told me there should be fluid coming out
when engine is running.
any ideas what or why this is not working would be appreciated,thank,s,whisky6

heat up a coffee mug full of water in the microwave, and stick the probe in it hooked up to the gauge. see if it reads temp.

I have mine hook to the test port, it works just fine! is there more than one port there? i really don't remember it leaking when i pulled the plug on the port, but that was like 5 years ago.

temp. sensor

Hi,this whisky6,i talked to two different sources
and both of them said i should see fluid come, the
dipstick shows it maybe low,but i would think that
there should be fluid coming out of port which is on
drivers side of truck by shift linkage, got another
from bank,s,but sure is different then what i took out
I think i will research some more before putting in
new sensor,thank,s whisky6
