I need some direction in where to start building this truck to get the absolute most i can. It already has a egr delete kit on it but thats all. Can really use some help, thanks.lease:
2004 6.0 automatic f250.. stock motor other then egr delete and turbo back 4in to 6in single stack.. wanna be making around 6/650 hp..i can afford just about anything with a lil saving.. are twins an option down the line?
That gives you a studded starting point for everything down the line for you build. Looking at 600-800RWHP on the 6.0L is no small feat. Are you wanting to do this on fuel only, or with the aid of Nitrous or Water/Meth injection as well?
You will be looking at a minimum:
SCT flash tuner with custom tuning - this is the only brand of tuner I'd use on a 6.0L
Monitor like the Edge Insight CS/CTS along with the required expansion sensors (EGT, FP, OP, etc. depending on build)
Aftermarket CAI
Exhaust - which you already have
New Turbocharger
Performance Injectors
New Fuel System
Fully Built Transmission
As for the right injector-to-turbo combination, you need to do a lot of research and figure out what you are willing to invest the time and money in. I'll let someone who has build a truck to that level to chime in what would work.
id like to lean a lil more towards water/methanol, thats what ive heard is the sct is the only way to go, where would you recommend goin to look for turbos, injectors, etc. should i look at a hpop along with that to go with the injectors, what kind of fuel system do u recommend? im completely new at the 6.0 game ive always been around 7.3's
If you are going to build the truck for sled pulling (noticed that in the tags), check the entry regs to see if you run a water/meth setup.
The reason I mentioned having someone who has built a truck to that level for the injector and turbo combination, is the list of supporting modifications are key to getting the most out of those injectors. When you start talking about twins on the 6.0L, you're talking a lot more technical details and fabrication than I know. A HPOP maybe required down the road, depending on the injectors selected, a fuel system is a must however I don't have a good starting point for you.
Where do you start? We can build you a new long block bored .40 over for $6495. That way you are starting with a larger foundation for adding everything else that you want to add.
