I have an early 99 and I recently came across on a good buy on a late 99 complete engine. I already plan to swap the turbos with a whicked wheel or something similar but I was wondering if there is anything else I should swap over. I bought the truck from a dealer and I am the second owner. I do not realy know what is already done except I deleted the cat and did a diy intake. Gauges will be here shortly and I do plan on getting a tuner in the near future. also I am guessing it is still the stock motor with about 337000 miles on it...

thanks so should the hpop be rebuilt before I swap them? and what about the injectors?

if i read right in another thread, the early 99s had a factory "wicked wheel" but agreed with hpop and sticks

Early '99 spyder from engine swap

If you are going to swap the engine, would you consider selling the spyder off of the early '99 one? I would need the sypder and v-clamp. If so, let me know a price.

I have also read that they have a factory "wicked wheel" However I am more interested in the options for advancing later because if I have been researching correctly I think there are more options for upgrading turbos for late 99's and on and i am assuming this is because of the piping sizes that and I couldnt pass up the deal. also while I have your attention I saw in a post that the 17* hpop could be modded and the guy who does it will take the 15* hpop as payment? I cannot find the post and it makes me not so happy :doh: that'll teach me to not save stuff. and yes I do plan on selling some things as soon as I get my game plan straightend out. pm me if you are realy interested.

Your early has the WW already. The late turbo might surge, the WW is the easy fix, or you can do a ported shroud housing ($400 or so). Swap the HPOP and injectors, no need to rebuild the HPOP. Joey at Terminator Engineering does the modded 17° but doesn't list it on his site so call him or shoot him an email.
