I am having a good amount of fluid leaking from the bell housing area where the torque converter is hanging out. I'm 99% sure it is not my TC, and some people have mentioned various other seals in that area that can leak.

What seals should I be getting to replace the one that is leaking?

I need to pull the tranny this weekend and stop this leak. It's getting bad and my driveway looks like crap

Thanks

It's called the front pump/tc seal. It's a metal flange seal. Not hard to change once the trans is out. Actually, kind of hard to get it drove back in the pump because it keeps trying to pop out when you hit it on one side. Get the seal from Ford. Make sure the rubber part of the seal is not grey. DO NOT accept a grey seal.
The trans and converter weigh about 250 lbs.

thanks for the weight info.

this seal sounds like what I need from bulkpart.com

Seal, Front, E4OD / 4R100 1989-up * Updated VITON
Quantity in Basket: none
Code: 36070G
Price: $3.54
This replaces the Silicone (blue) front pump seal.
Viton® has a high temperature rating and better resistance to abrasion than the silicone seals.
