Hey there people,
This is my first Diesel truck AND my first oil change for this truck. I removed the oil filler cap to put in the engine oil and found red goo (best description I can come up with) inside the filler tube and on the cap. Looks kind of like hi-temp. bearing grease. I wiped it out and continued but I would like to know if this is normal?:dunno: Oil collected from engine looked normal.

This is an 02 F350 automatic.

Thanks,

JR
