Just bought a 97 sclb auto and the guy I just bought it off of put new injector and a ts on it 160/80 stage two
I just wanting to know what the best upgrade I can do to the tranny I can do the motor stuff no problem but it my first auto period

Trans tuner
Tc
Tc lock up switch
Vb
Shift kit

I just want to have no problem Im not buying a bts or the other guy ones
I do all my upgrade myself labor wises lol I love doing it

john wood valve body, 6.0 powerstroke trans cooler a must, and torque converter if funds are there. I have heard the modified 6.0 converter is the best for a stock 7.3 transmission, no pump mods needed.

So a Tc out of a 5r100 are the same

NOT SO MUCH, THEY MODIFY A 6.0 CONVERTER TO FIT A 7.3, 6.0 CONVERTERS ARE RUGGED AND WORK WELL.

Is the cost worth it or a tripple disk a lot better and what will the clutches hold and will a shift kit help to

The modified 6.0 convertor is a tripple disk, and hp wise Im sure its good for at least 500hp. The valve body is needed, and it works wonders I hear. No front pump mods are needed with the 6.0 convertor, the aftermarket convertors need the pump mods.
