The Super Duty section has this thread but we don't. So.....

What did you do to your OBS today?

I replaced my starter and my 6637 intake. The starter was about to fail and, well, the filter speaks for itself:

Happy 2018, and the last OBS turned 20 last year.. Now we're all ancient and off the smog radar!

i installed a S&B filter but the box is too big, intercooler pipes hit, squeezed between AC line......up against powersteering line.
no issues w/6637....but wanted cold air f/summer...

KCTP38R installed and doubled my boost numbers, still 2-300°F drop across the turbo
summer EGT will be interesting to see pulling up the grade.
lot's of messing around with intake to get it plumbed in an acceptable manner...the larger intake plays with fitment. easy 30psi plus on boost numbers.
btw A size 140 oring or a oil filter oring from a suitable size will work on the turbo inlet, the OEM SEAL DONT WORK W/KCTP38R..they are sending orings now I believe with each unit.

new rear wheel bearings, rear differential with new OUO cover.75w motorcraft/modifier took 3.374 total fluid ounces...

I purchased my first 5 gallon pail of OPTILUBE XPD...man doth that stuff stank or what?!!!
also first 64oz of NMF fluids to try, i like the science behind it. made a bunch of videos if anyone is bored....

Still bucking on down these ****ty california roads......even on straight roads you hold a slight left hand turn pressure to keep the road-crown (rain shedding round) from sending you off right....

pending a SD valve cover gasket/UVCH/harness upgrade, got the parts tho waiting to see how winter goes w/cold starts and if anything gets melty, not gonna repair OEM OBS just will upgrade....

Oil cooler was also just replaced as I didn't do it when i had engine pulled.....lol i got to the right side manifold/oil cooler and called it good as i had changed orings in 2010....but now she's new w/POR-15

Odometer will turn 150k on next rip...hip hip horay!!!!!

Love My Truck!

passed 150k miles on hwy395 this past week.
also successfully cold started at 8000 ft with absolutely no issues.UNPLUGGED...GPTIME = 120
boy, when that oil is cold ICP will read 800psi! 5wT5 what i run. warm at idle around 525psi.

also put the new KCTP38R to the test.....passed 35 cars, trucks, uhauls, etc. in a big traffic slug hwy395 after Kraemer junction going up the hill....

took me 3 slices and the last 3 passing zones..don't ya love it when all the leetle piggies get stuck and you can pass them!

SOME eyeballs were poking out as the big gal got up on it!
made it to the no pass 13 miles with no one in front!
i should have made a log file....didn't have a second to look at any gauges..

I installed 2 BMW 528i front seats today

Hi everyone,

My roll-a-long package seats were toast, so I grabbed these from CL...

Not today but finished an efuel conversion when the stock pump started to give up at 300000 miles. It turned out great and also lead to a UVCH replacement and engine harness repair. While I was under the valve covers I replaced all the glow plugs too. It works great. The idle is so much better and the power is much smother and more consistent. I ran all hard lines to avoid any leaks. It took a while but man its certainly worth it. I drove it 600 miles one way on vacation this week and it never missed a beat. These old trucks are unstoppable when properly maintained and modded.

How much trouble did you have getting your DP on after you installed the up pipes?

Edit: Just read your other post and answered my question.
Put a new oil fill cap on her. Got tired of using channel locks to take the broke one off.

That gives me an idea, I need one of these and then some in my truck, looks like it's more out of the way than a center console in a truck. Custom make myself one and line it up with accessory switches for winch, lights hydraulics and etc, be like jet liner overhead console.
i put my new 3" downpipe on. woke up this this this old motor up only has 357000 miles but till runnning strong. next on list is adiy air filter
Replaced the driver's side fuel line today. Massive fuel leak has been fixed. Yesterday, I sold the old camper shell that came with the truck.

For anyone new to doing this line like I was, watch the efuel conversion videos to get an idea. Remove the serpentine belt and ac compressor bolts x4 then remove the two more easily accessible bolts on the bracket that holds the ac compressor, the vaccum pump and the power steering pump. Then loosen the last bolt on the bracket, which is under the vaccum pump mount and rotate the bracket out of the way gently.

Then remove the old hose, replace and put everything back together. I didn't use anything loctite or anything since the original didn't seem to have anything and they are compression fittings.

I just got this truck, but clearly these lines should not be neglected. I lost 3/4 tank on my way home from work last week.

Few weeks ago now but I took the hpop from my parts 2003 and replaced the pump in the 96. It was original. 457,000 miles on it!
