A little off-shoot from the "What did you do to your 6.0 today?" mega thread.
Very simple idea here, show what you bought for your 6.0 today.

Today was an expensive one for me:
-Upper and lower balljoints, both sides
-Center links
-NUC Oil by-pass filter kit
-Couple bottles of Archoil

Looking forward to posting install photos in the "What did you do to your 6.0 today?" thread.

You really need to use a box end, it'll be tough getting an open end in there.

Bought this set. Hope it works . pricey at 60 bucks. But if it works cool. Plus I gotta feeling this won't be my last time ever replacing this.

Best way I found is cutting down a box wrench to 6" long. 15/16" for the old style sensor & 1 1/16" for the new style sensor. I did a sensor swap from under the truck while in Maine so I knw it works.

The best way to cut a wrench down is with an angle grinder

**edit** an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel installed on it (just to clarify for the hillary supporters A.K.A The dumba$$ bah bah sheep)

well I missed about a metric ton of posts and am just too lazy to wait on my internet to catch up...
so....
what i did with y 6.0 today was drive it to town to do some shipping. rode beautifully :thumb:
and i even got to stop and help a guy with a dodge who had a bed mount fall off his truck

also I know someone had an led I believe bed light third brake light they installed that was more flush mount than stock.
i NEED one of those so i can redo my shell and be happier with it and stop a slow annoying leak before it is covered with snow for months
if anyone knows of anything that mounts flush or at least closer than stock let me know in a pm :thumb: thank you :D

After a huge eff up by Wal-Mart finally had time to go to autozone and pick up the rest of my oil. Get to change it this weekend, fuel filters and tire rotation before leaving for the country

LED bulbs for the turn and parking lights and and an H1 HID kit.
Installed 4 new much needed bilstein 5100's on my truck. The originals were so shot that I could play them like an accordion!
Bought the dummy plugs, stand pipes, and STC fitting and seal kit... just have to find time doing the job. I have bigger priorities right now with getting my house fixed from the flood. We're trying to get it finished before Christmas. At least I have the parts paid for and ready. Also picking up a few tools. A lot of my tools were ruined in the flood. I managed to save most of them but needed to get a new 1/4 drive ratchet and new swivel head ratchet wrenches. I will definitely post up my work once I get started.
Picked up 4 cans of black plasti dip for my wheels. I plan on picking up some orange to create an accent ring to break it up a little.

Good for you, that's a nice looking truck and by the looks of it, it was taken care of. I am surprised the STC wasn't updated but not unheard of.
Change the coolant at the same time. I drained mine and pushed out what I could by flushing water through hoses under coolant tank. Pull both block plugs too. Then pulled thermostat and filled with water and cup of Cascade liquid dishwasher soap. Took for a 30-40 minute drive and then drained engine. Again pulled both block plugs. I then put a 3/4 hose into bottom hose and started engine and let it run. Water coming out of upper hose and block plugs. After a 15 minute run I drained it as well as possible.
Put everything back together and filled with distilled water. Idled engine 5 minutes and drained. Repeated three times then installed new Motorcraft thermostat and Cat EC1 coolant.

I also put a IPR coolant filter on my truck. I went with the oil cooler manifold for it and it is a work of art.
Once you update the HPO system and get the Gold coolant out of it you will be in good shape. Last thing I would do is the blue spring for the fuel pressure. It will keep fuel pressure at 60 psi. Which is what the 6.0 injectors like and need.

Good Luck with it.
Sorry to hear you went through a flood. Not fun, my uncle did and boy did we have work to do back then.
