What did you BUY FOR your 6.0 today?

A little off-shoot from the "What did you do to your 6.0 today?" mega thread.
Very simple idea here, show what you bought for your 6.0 today.

Today was an expensive one for me:
-Upper and lower balljoints, both sides
-Center links
-NUC Oil by-pass filter kit
-Couple bottles of Archoil

Looking forward to posting install photos in the "What did you do to your 6.0 today?" thread.

Hopefully it will bring back some MPG as well. But thats one good thing about it being cold is that it will tell you whats going bad haha.
I'm sure it will. My 04 is 2wd and I easily pull 17mpg at 80mph. I only monitor with a sg so I don't always check ficm volts. But since it got cold I was watching one day when I started it and it stayed at 36v for awhile. I also noticed mileage had tanked.

I was gonna say may be the knock off eBay ones but if the box was wrapped in plastic? And I'd expect more than $80 if they was gonna be shady. You got a good deal for sure. I'll double your money and give you $160 shipped, lol.

Back to that scangauge life wanted a edge cts 2 but I don't really need to spend 500 bucks

That's all I've used on my 04 till I decide to send off my hg's and put some tunes on my truck. Works fine since I don't need to watch egt's yet.

i was 255 before i broke my back when i exercised all the time :D
now i am 30 over limit without a tool in my hand :look:
but i have been using them for... honestly i dont know, at least a year or so, and have had no trouble :thumb:

on the scan gauge i got one
it lives in my wifes suburban :look:
its too dam bright for how dark it is out here and it blinds me
if you live in the city or have street lights or any of that nonsense it would be great
of course i already have the four gauges on the ilar and the cts in my face as it is :dunno:
I dimmed mine down and it's not any worse than the high beam light now. Actually that annoys me the most lol. In my caddy all the lights on the whole dash dim, not just the cluster.

i have found no way to dim mine :tard:
but i sure like the idea
and yes GM high beam indicators are absurdly bright
I'll have to see what I did. Pretty sure it has a dim option separate of the contrast. The ones in my 6.0's are bright too. Only thing good about the caddy is it's dims with the rest of the lights. Wish Ford did that.

It's about to go down. I haven't even looked at the rims yet. LOL. I hope they're the right ones. Headed to the lift.

Well where's the pictures? You should have that done by now, lol. Could have just folded back the cardboard alittle bit.

Basically a ladder with a platform on top to lay on and take a nap while you work on your truck. I just use a step stool and lean into the bay. On the big truck need to pull the wheels to get in there comfortably. A 9" lift and 40's makes it challenging otherwise.

Forgot to mention I picked up some rotors, calipers, and pads for the 04 since a caliper seized up on me the other day. At 150k the stock front brakes didn't owe me anything.

Also forgot I ordered this the other day. Had a coupon for eBay so it was $120 shipped to my door. Let's hope it cools better than the cheap one core someone put in the 03.

Saw those on fleabay, be sure and report back with the results. Sure lot's of guys on here will be curious.
Oh Ya for sure, it's probably too good to be true but lifetime warranty, if that means anything, and I have access to a tig at any time so its worth the test. I can tell you that it is super light so probably not very thick or not very strong material. Packed good and came in square and true. I'll take a few more pics shortly.

I “Tried” to purchase the rubber and steel bushings that fit in the mounting ears on my FICM bracket. I went to two different Ford dealers that assured me that they had the right bushings but they did not. I brought my bracket and bushings in to both dealer parts departments and they both told me to get the correct bushings I would have to buy a new bracket for $117.00. I am going to fabricate one tomorrow with a cut steel spacer sleeve, 2 rubber faucet seals and 2 SS flat washers so I can mount the bracket. I will then keep searching for the correct parts. If anyone has the part number for these little dime diameter rubber bushings with metal inserts that fit the one piece early 2003 FICM bracket. Let me know please. To be clear there are five smaller than dime sized 3 piece bushings that slide over the studs on the valve cover and into the mounting ears of the FICM bracket. Not the quarter size rubber only bushings!
BTL
When you find this out, please let me know. I went through the same hassle a while back and came up empty handed. The bushings are not serviceable separate from the bracket, atleast that's what any dealer is gonna tell you. I searched a ton with no luck on anything close. I do have all my bushings but they're split in half so the rubber isn't doing much and it's a pain to keep track of them all when installing the bracket. I also chose not to purchase the complete bracket, atleast not till I have an extra hundo just laying around.

Looks good, even though I've seen it in 3 different threads <img src="http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/images/smilies/hehe.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Hehe" class="inlineimg" />
I'm partial to shells though.
That's a great price too. I paid $400 for mine and it doesn't match color, but I needed one with the flip up side windows
Thanks, lol.

Well one thread for buying it, the other for putting it on, and the chat thread to actually talk about it.

Carrier bearing and U joints for rear drive shaft

Blacked out Headlights

New Grill

Turbo rebuild kit

I’m ready to drive this thing
Just an FYI on the smoked headlights, you'll want some really good bulbs once you install them. I did a smoked pair on my 04 to complete the blacked out look of the truck, and the bulbs they came with were a joke. I went through several sets of lights before finding a nice pair of LED's that brought my light output back to stock. Started with the ones they came with, then some silver star ultras, then some two side led, then some three sides ones. I expected some diminished output with them being smoke but it was bad. Might as well just drive with fog lights. Here is a pic of mine. Truck is dirty and the clear coat they came with is pealing after a couple years but you get the idea.

four weeks till wheels up to check out eastern Idaho (apologies in advance to Idahoans) on the next leg of our retirement relocation reconnaissance tour
Everybody keeps wanting to come to Idaho. Ya know its not all that great, lol.

Ive only lived on the west end of the state but been back east alot. They get way worse winters than we do. I dont think its near as crowded back east either. Atleast not with out of state transplants. Its horrible around here.

For me, even with how much has changed the last 10-15 years, id still rather be on this side of the state.
