A little off-shoot from the "What did you do to your 6.0 today?" mega thread.
Very simple idea here, show what you bought for your 6.0 today.

Today was an expensive one for me:
-Upper and lower balljoints, both sides
-Center links
-NUC Oil by-pass filter kit
-Couple bottles of Archoil

Looking forward to posting install photos in the "What did you do to your 6.0 today?" thread.

Bought the IPR high flow coolant kit. Well, to be honest, it was late last night. I really have to quit looking around online at bed time. It’s costing me a fortune.

I can relate.

I am occasionally surprised by arriving packages.

Fortunately they usually contain something I want or need.

I'm not surprised it's always my wife - the PayPal email shows up and she is "what the hell did you buy now "

Fortunately, our finances are pretty separate, except where we choose to combine them.

We basically are the same but share a PayPal account. It's more joking when she questions as she knows I'm responsible in my spending. Although she does question tools and truck stuff just to make sure I am not just buying a gadget that isn't necessary.

What's this separate finances? I make the money and she spends it, lol. And it's usually her that is hiding what she bought and always checking the mail. She spends alot on kids clothes but makes a decent return selling when they out grow them.

I kinda got yelled at when she found out how much I spent on the new KDD Icon heads and everything else to build the engine for the 04. Pretty sure the rods and pistons I got put me over $10k in parts and I still need a turbo and injectors.

I am a ham radio operator.

A ham radio buddy related this answer to his wife's griping about what he spends on radios. He lives in the Atlanta area.

"OK honey, I'll sell it all and spend the money down on Peachtree Street" (where the ladies of the evening are found).

He hasn't gotten any more static.

I have recently spent lots of money on this 06. I knew when I bought this I would eventually build it but I got some great deals here and there and with David Lawson’s help (meet him on here and he’s been an incredible resource and great guy), will be leaving the truck with him this year at Ford fest to do the build! Let’s see what I’ve bought so far…..
Odawg Intake
O-ringed heads
Studs
EGR delete kit
Moshimoto intercooler
Moshimoto radiator
Moshimoto CAC pipes
Banks intake
MBRP straight pipe kit
Push rods
Intake elbow
Warren 175/30 injectors
KC stage 2
BPD hd oil cooler relocation kit
SCT livewire and dash Mount
Autometer fuel pressure gauge with steering column mount
SCT egt probe kit

In the process of buying
FASS pump
Driven diesel regulated fuel return
Bean sump kit

Should be a fun truck when she’s all said and done! Now the wait begins lol

Only thing I’ve bought today is a 28mm x 1/2” socket that I’ve converted to an IPR coolant filter tool. That and a breaker bar allowed me to remove the filter that was put in by a gorilla.

I bought and installed a Kenwood, touch screen dvd stereo with back up camera and 4 Infiniti reference 6 x 8 speakers. Looks and sounds so much better than the stock system. I replaced the original because the 6 cd changer quit working.

TRIAX 75w-90 Full Synthetic Front Axle Gear Lube
TRIAX 75w-140 Full Synthetic Rear Axle Gear Lube

Lube Locker gaskets for both axles (highly recommended if you don't want to make your own gasket)

This truck may have only 96k on it but it's pulled a trailer behind it it's whole life! Found out the front dif, dana 60, fluid looked great & didn't even have a magnet on the drain plug. The rear axle did have one & it was packed. 😯

A little late, bought it a few days ago and waiting for delivery.

Metal cold side CAC pipe from RiffRaff diesel with OEM boots.

As many times as I have had hot side CAC pipe disconnects, looking forward to elimination of failures due to age of the plastic cold side pipe.

Will install it when convenient. In the meantime it will be in the truck if I have a failure on the road.

I know this is a popular upgrade for the tranny on a 6.0, but I don't know why.

Can you educate me?
