What did you BUY FOR your 6.0 today?

A little off-shoot from the "What did you do to your 6.0 today?" mega thread.
Very simple idea here, show what you bought for your 6.0 today.

Today was an expensive one for me:
-Upper and lower balljoints, both sides
-Center links
-NUC Oil by-pass filter kit
-Couple bottles of Archoil

Looking forward to posting install photos in the "What did you do to your 6.0 today?" thread.

That's good to know. I just need catch a reasonable day to do it. It's cold here in Illinois
Turbo Rebuild Kit... figure with 240k and blue smoke on startup, its time. also picked up Oil and Fuel Additive and a handy Diesel Only decal for inside the fill area for those pesky full service only places on the interstate.

One of my guiding decisions was that they had a good rep and good customer service and were cheaper than the red top. I do have to say that I'm not looking forward to the installation
I did my first steering box in 1-1/2 hours the night before I was leaving on a long road trip, about 2,800 miles. I almost talked myself out of it, but was very happy I did it.

Thank you for the encouragement!
Call it a late Christmas present....

I really like that it's low profile, and it is not that big. I didn't need a lot of space, just a box to keep basic tools, some tow strap/chains, my jack, some gloves, etc. Plus I didn't want to take up too much bed space since I have the short bed.

Turbo rebuild came in , ordered a new GPCM but unfortunately didn’t make it to the dealer on time.

Only thing that would make this better is if it came w a list of what was all included in the rebuild kit. Should be a fun project next weekend.

someone on one of the Facebook 6.0 groups posted 5/40 Rotella for $22 a gal at Home Depot
I generally have no problem finding acceptable oil at truck stops and oil supply places that specialize in oil/fuel for fleet tractor and highway equipment

As an update on Rotella I went to Shell website and questioned the supply problem, below is their response. No explanation as to why the shortage.

Case No: 00289330
Enquiry: Rotella T6 5w40 shortage
Response:
Good morning,
Could you please let me know the make model and year of your vehicle/equipment that I can verify if there is another alternative available? Rotella T6 5w40 stock should be back to normal at the beginning of March.

Best regards,
Michel Mercier

Got my HHC tool and o-ring kit in and my injectors. Also got my filters and my oil is order. Plan is to start disassembly this Wed. I might not get much done until Saturday, but my hope is with a couple hours each evening leading up to Saturday, I can at least get it down to where I need to install the injectors. I also believe I may need to repair a couple threads on for the valve cover bolts (my mistake) from previous repair. So I have at least one heli-coil to install.

A whole bunch of slightly used stuff. Odawg intake, 75hp injectors (probably use as cores), o ringed heads, rocker arm assembly, moshimoto intercooler and radiator along with cac pipes, banks intake, ARP Studs and some 6.4 pushrods. Got an awesome deal and met a great dude while at it. All parts had about 45-50,000 miles. I don’t need any of these items yet but I’m building my arsenal and when I tear her down maybe next year, I’ll do a full upgrade. Need a BPD oil cooler and stage 2 turbo and I should be set.

I saw some in person today at O’Reilly‘s and when I saw that Price turned and walked away. I guess that was a bad move? I know it is nothing like it was several years ago but I remember buying that stuff for so much cheaper per gallon. I thought they were just trying to price gouge but it seems like that is the going rate now days?
