A little off-shoot from the "What did you do to your 6.0 today?" mega thread.
Very simple idea here, show what you bought for your 6.0 today.

Today was an expensive one for me:
-Upper and lower balljoints, both sides
-Center links
-NUC Oil by-pass filter kit
-Couple bottles of Archoil

Looking forward to posting install photos in the "What did you do to your 6.0 today?" thread.

08 style mirrors with power fold option. Just waiting on shipping - things take forever to cross the border into Canada.

If you don't mind, I'd love to know your thoughts on them when you get them. The ones I picked up off Amazon, one mirror works perfect, and the other vibrates badly. I've heard nothing but good things from those Trail Ridges, and I want the power fold option as well :)

To be honest, I really wish I could find a set that had power telescoping as well - but haven't managed to locate any. :(

Installed a IPR coolant filter and aluminum degas bottle from Dales. Test drove and no leaks.

I bought and received a set of PF mirrors from @1AAuto.com. They are the Trail Ridge. I mounted them and the plug is a direct fit for the power options (up, down, marker and heat) which is nice. The power fold is a different story. It has a wire kit with a switch that is provided. However, there are absolutely NO direction on how to wire this (at least in mine). But here's the kicker. You have to pass wires from the cab to the doors.
On my 07, The boot that goes in between the door and the cab is not standard. There is a plug that goes from the door and hooks to the cab portion. The plug is just like the one we have for the ECM, in that there's a lever that one flips down to "unlock" it and remove the plug. Now for the life of me I have not been able to figure out how to pass the wires from the cab to the doors.
I am trying to use the more factory install (following @Dante04SRT instructions), with the factory window switch. But as of right now my power fold is not hooked up and unless a miracle happens it's not going to.
If anyone has done this on the '07 please chime in and let me know how you got the wires from the cab to the doors.
The mirrors are awesome! I LOVE the added visibility and the blind spot mirror is incredible. The field of view for the blind spot is increase ten fold and nearly eliminates any guesses. You'll love them!

Don't know a good solution for adding a wire loom from door to cab. That has to be extremely frustrating for you.

Can you tap off of power feed for mirror select switch (driver/passenger) to feed the fold switches? Would require having to mount switches on door panel. Give me some time I'll pull up wiring diagram for my 05 and mark it up to show a possible solution using existing wiring (also will rely on wiring being same/similar between model years). Only thing is I don't know rating of switch to select mirror and if it will handle current load of fold motors . Could be a possible solution.

Thanks for feedback that the mirrors are good quality and better fields of view.

I am using the factory 08 window switch (L, R, Up and down) with the PF option and it works well. Just the PF isn't hooked up yet. I replaced the 7 wire plug that goes into it with the factory 8 wire one. The extra wire is for the PF.

The new mirrors have the factory plug for all functions except PF. They added another plug which has a light blue wire and a yellow wire. That's for each mirror.

I have the power folding replay that is included in Dante's write up but not sure where that goes really. My bad for not doing a bit more homework on this but there has to be a way!

Gonna have to look at post you mention see if I can assist - wiring diagram I have is for old version switch without fold option. Now you got me thinking to change switch to 08 version, would be nicer to have all in one and not extra switches on dash.

I have the post savedd to my laptop. I don't think you can see the pics anymore because of photobucket (of crap). Lemme know I can PM it to you.
might be easier to text. I can send you pics of what I have.
Appreciate the information!

Just bought a Du-ha 20025 to replace the stupid now-cracked factory tray behind the rear seat.

Also, a set of m6-1.0 helicoils - the far left nut for that behind-the-seat tray was pretty goobered. Going to helicoil all three when I install the Du-Ha storage bin.
@zsargent

PM me and we'll find a way to transfer photos.

Thanks

Switching from T6 + Archoil to now just Amsoil Signature 15W40. Ordered it yesterday. It's a little more pricey but not by much. I was getting T6 2.5 gal for about $50 and 1 gal for about $20. Then the Archoil was another $40. So total for that was around $110. I got the Amsoil 2.5 gal for $85 and the 1 gal for $35. Total for the Amsoil is $120. I decided to use the preferred customer program since I plan to continue with the oil they have for my other stuff and by being a member, you get pretty good discounts and free shipping on orders over $100 so to me it's worth it. I will let you guys know my impressions after the oil change.

Also, I have my LED's in for my gauges. Just have to get them installed. Haven't forgot about that, time has not been on my side. Especially now that it gets dark not long after I get home.

If anyone else is interested in being a perferred Amsoil customer, just let me know via email and can call you at another time to get you set up. Just thought I'd throw it out there. [email protected]

Is there a minimum order, Corey?
Is there a minimum order, Corey?
Nope, its just a $20yr membership fee, but just for a single oil change with filter you will save way more than that having the membership.
Bought a high pressure oil pump from Corey at cncfab. Pulling turbo and old pump tonight so when it gets here Friday I can hear her run again.

Ordered up some tunes from Warren, curious to see how they perform compared to the SPD tune.
