Bought the IPR high flow coolant kit. Well, to be honest, it was late last night. I really have to quit looking around online at bed time. It’s costing me a fortune.

Fortunately, our finances are pretty separate, except where we choose to combine them.
Yeah my wife and I’s finances have been separate for about ten years. We’re divorced. :)

Only thing I’ve bought today is a 28mm x 1/2” socket that I’ve converted to an IPR coolant filter tool. That and a breaker bar allowed me to remove the filter that was put in by a gorilla.

I bought and installed a Kenwood, touch screen dvd stereo with back up camera and 4 Infiniti reference 6 x 8 speakers. Looks and sounds so much better than the stock system. I replaced the original because the 6 cd changer quit working.

I know this is a popular upgrade for the tranny on a 6.0, but I don't know why.

Can you educate me?
If your asking about the 6.4 tranny pan, it has a better internal filter than the 6.0 and is slightly deeper so it will hold more fluid. I think that’s the main difference, but I could be wrong, it’s been known to happen. I upgraded mine because I was changing the fluid anyway it didn’t cost that much to change it out. But, cost is relative.

So, you install the 6.4 pan and the 6.4 filter?
Yes. It’s a direct swap. If your old gasket is in good shape you can reuse it as well. They are reusable. I also replaced the one plastic plug inside the 2006 transmission with a billet one that if I remember correctly I picked up from blessedperformance. I could be mistaken on that part but I’m pretty sure that’s where I picked it up. Not sure if that was necessary but I figured I was in there and plastic gets old so why not.

I am currently getting my brandy new studded tires installed on my brandy new rims and put on the truck. Because I live in an area that you can see nowhere from there is only one option for rims so I couldn’t get cheap steel rims for the winter tires. The rims that came on the truck when I bought it are like 11-12” wide. It’s hard to say because measurements are hard to come by when you have short arms. The tires currently on it are wide to fit the rims and they suuuuuuuuuuuccccccccckkkkkkkkk on ice. Just found this out a couple of days ago. So anyway, long story longer, the tire shop only had one set of rims that would fit the truck and one set of studded tires. So I bought what they had. Wasn’t what I was looking for but I will at least be able to drive the truck during the winter which lasts a bit up here. Nothing just shy of 3k won’t fix right?

Just ordered two of the 9L3Z-1522008-A door strikers for my drivers side doors. They both rattle a bit so hopefully this fixes that. Passenger side I’m not sure about as I never sit there and can’t hear it over the drivers doors if they do.

I’ve also finally ordered the carhartt front seat covers. I don’t need the rear covers right now since I leave the seats folded up so my DAD can get in and out easier. (Dumb A$$ Dog)

Bought a grille cover and screen combo. Cost way more than I wanted to pay but winter is here and I will feel better with it on. Of course without a garage it’s going to be tough to install but I’ll get it done. Probably have to rivet the snaps to the grille instead of trying to use the tape crap.

I didn’t have warm fuzzies when I ordered my seat covers from covercraft and sure enough they sent me the wrong seat covers. Since they’re closed on the weekends it will have to wait to return them. From what I’ve read online they want the buyer to pay for return shipping but since they sent me the wrong seat covers I don’t expect that to apply. That and I didn’t get free shipping to me anyway, I paid the shipping costs. We will see how this plays out. 🤞

Well I received the door strikers and they don’t work on my truck. Installed the driver rear door and it won’t close enough for the interior lights to turn off. Are you guys sure the number is 9L3Z-1522008-A? That’s what I have and it doesn’t seem to work for me.

a few things...eventually will install but right now, just getting stuff together. Ordered the dipstick tube seal and the seal for the trans dipstick tube today. Should be in tomorrow.
Do you or anyone else have a source for the push pins that hold the wire channel on? Mine are pretty much shot.

Hope it wasn't part of the Amazon counterfeit club.
I quit using Amazon for purchases for numerous reasons but that’s one of the big ones. I use them now to find items I want and then source those parts from elsewhere. I might have to pay a bit more but that’s fine by me. I hate giving money to people that hate me and others like me.

I just bought a set of headlights from bajaretrofits. They are expensive but the other day I was driving into town and my current headlights were a waste of time. The driving lights helped immensely but I really need headlights that put out actual light. So I splurged on these. We will see how much of an improvement they are when they arrive. I will try to take some pictures of the old and the new if I remember to do so. I sometimes get involved and forget about documenting improvements with photos. I expect a huge improvement over the stock lights.

Still waiting on my seat covers from CoverCraft since I had to return the first set due to the wrong type being sent. They were received by CC three weeks ago.
