Bought the dummy plugs, stand pipes, and STC fitting and seal kit... just have to find time doing the job. I have bigger priorities right now with getting my house fixed from the flood. We're trying to get it finished before Christmas. At least I have the parts paid for and ready. Also picking up a few tools. A lot of my tools were ruined in the flood. I managed to save most of them but needed to get a new 1/4 drive ratchet and new swivel head ratchet wrenches. I will definitely post up my work once I get started.

Good for you, that's a nice looking truck and by the looks of it, it was taken care of. I am surprised the STC wasn't updated but not unheard of.
Change the coolant at the same time. I drained mine and pushed out what I could by flushing water through hoses under coolant tank. Pull both block plugs too. Then pulled thermostat and filled with water and cup of Cascade liquid dishwasher soap. Took for a 30-40 minute drive and then drained engine. Again pulled both block plugs. I then put a 3/4 hose into bottom hose and started engine and let it run. Water coming out of upper hose and block plugs. After a 15 minute run I drained it as well as possible.
Put everything back together and filled with distilled water. Idled engine 5 minutes and drained. Repeated three times then installed new Motorcraft thermostat and Cat EC1 coolant.

I also put a IPR coolant filter on my truck. I went with the oil cooler manifold for it and it is a work of art.
Once you update the HPO system and get the Gold coolant out of it you will be in good shape. Last thing I would do is the blue spring for the fuel pressure. It will keep fuel pressure at 60 psi. Which is what the 6.0 injectors like and need.

Good Luck with it.
Sorry to hear you went through a flood. Not fun, my uncle did and boy did we have work to do back then.
Thanks, yea it's been tough. Staying at the in-laws has been a blessing but also difficult. As far as the truck is concerned, I'm also going to do the coolant flush and put the CAT coolant back in it, in fact my next purchase will be those drain valves to put in place of the plugs. Do I really still need a coolant filter after all that you think? Also, I was curious about the blues spring upgrade. I'm assuming this goes in where the filter is?

Where did you buy your parts?
Ford dealer, I heard the aftermarket were prone to fail and not much cheaper

Nice mirrors, now you have to update your sig pic.

So on my way home yesterday, I started feeling this very strange wobble in the front steering. Sure enough, front left tire had a large bulge in it. I was already expecting this sooner or later so I was actually planning on buying tires soon. Basically my hand was forced. The front tires were pretty much no good, and the rears had about 30% life left. So I went ahead on got these....

I have had two sets of KO's with one set being the KO2's.
I love them for sure, but it appears i'm not/will not be getting the mileage that i got on the KO's. I got nearly 60,000 miles out of my KO's
I've got 20,000 on the KO2's and I definitely see the wear.

Otherwise they perform very well on pavement, snow, ice and mud. And I also got mine at Costco.
Good to know, I got mine from a local tire shop. Trying to support some of our local shops since a lot of them are recently opened back up. They included free rotation every 5000 miles, 2 free oil changes. Plus they added a 10% military discount so not bad really. I noticed they rated these to be a 50K mile tire warranty but I did hear the wear rate was pretty good so we'll see. I'm sure rotating them and normal driving conditions will play a major role.

Just bought my 07 f350 with 12434 miles on it from a government auction.
bought coolant filter and flo-pro 4 inch turbo back exhaust
had egr cooler blocked off and a sct tuner which I will only be useing the canned tunes.
The Govt' employees must of been board because they under coated the truck put stainless air lines on the rear dual wheels and all new tires the truck looks like it just came off the show room floor inside and out engine compartment is spotless.:thumb:
Wow, that's gotta be one of the lowest mileage 6.0's around. Pics please! What are the engine hours?

Heads, head gaskets, studs, oil cooler, hpop reseal, water pump, serpentine belt, and much more And only 71K miles...
Well, at least afterwards, you shouldn't have to worry with it for a long while. Upgraded my regular ball hitch to a multi purpose type. Also bought a locking receiver pin and hitch pin. And last, if you ever want to keep from people stealing your trailer. Make sure you get a REAL lock. :padlock:

Here is my laundry list...

Ordered a Powermax turbo, Odawgs s3 intake. Getting completely rid of the EGR cooler. Also got Mishimoto radiator ordered. Going to completely flush, and run cat ELC. New 7.3 fan clutch and adapter. New belt tensioner, belt, water pump and thermostat. Air intake elbow with cold and hot side CAC tubes and hoses. New oil cooler, and IPR coolant filter kit, and finally an up pipe. Hopefully parts will be in by next Friday. Going to start tearing it down Friday night. I'm doing the work at home. Going to take my time. Plan on taking maybe Monday and Tuesday off as well to get everything done. Got a few days scheduled off to do it.

total $3770.00 not including tax and shipping costs

That I don't know. I know they haven't had a good reputation for a while though. A lot of people on here are avoiding buying their products though
I'm assuming it might have a serial number so I will check it once I get it so maybe I will give Mishimoto a call or send an email about it first. Thanks for the tip

Their DeGas tanks are fantastic, got nothin else
They are nice, but man, I don't want to spend that kind of money on a coolant tank.

On a side note, I haven't ordered my IPR filter still. Debating if it's really necessary. I have mixed feelings about since I'm not going with a full oil cooler relocate. The issue is the coolant still passes through the oil cooler first anyway. I might spare that money for something else.

I'll be curious how they work out for you. I have a couple out and I changed them a few years ago, so LED would be nice.
Are the LEDs dimmable ? Most of the time full bright is TOO bright for me, especially if I'm on a road trip
I will post some pics as soon and let you guys see for your self. Personally, I don't like them really bright or it's more of a distraction. But, they're dim-able.

On a side note, about a week ago, I was feeling a slight vibration while running down the road. Checked u-joints and the carrier bearing and all looked good. Then last night, I smelled something odd after getting home and heard like a crackling and popping sound. Almost like a hot exhaust when it's cooling off. When I walked to the back of the truck, I could feel the heat coming off the rear wheel. Even the rim was hot to the touch. I know it's not the brakes since all those have been done. So with 177K on the ticker, I'm certain it's a wheel bearing. I had been planning on changing diff fluid already, so today I bought all new wheel bearings, wheel seals for both sides, and new diff oil. Should have it all done by tomorrow. I will have pics of this as well coming soon.

Switching from T6 + Archoil to now just Amsoil Signature 15W40. Ordered it yesterday. It's a little more pricey but not by much. I was getting T6 2.5 gal for about $50 and 1 gal for about $20. Then the Archoil was another $40. So total for that was around $110. I got the Amsoil 2.5 gal for $85 and the 1 gal for $35. Total for the Amsoil is $120. I decided to use the preferred customer program since I plan to continue with the oil they have for my other stuff and by being a member, you get pretty good discounts and free shipping on orders over $100 so to me it's worth it. I will let you guys know my impressions after the oil change.

Also, I have my LED's in for my gauges. Just have to get them installed. Haven't forgot about that, time has not been on my side. Especially now that it gets dark not long after I get home.
