i just replaced my ball joints and brakes i thought the ball joints where causing a vibration/rumble when i accelerate. my friends work truck which is a 99 does the same thing. anyone know what this is?

Under acceleration? Check your carrier bearing.

i dont have a carrier bearing i have a short bed so maybe it could be ujoints

If you don't have a carrier it could be u joints. Get under the truck and grab the drive shaft and see how much you can move it around. Look for play in the joints.

the u joints seem fine it feels like it is coming from the front end i am goin to flush my power steering pump and disconnect my sway bar to see if that fixes it

Sounds like wheel bearings to me!! Check for play in and out on the wheel.

friend of mine had a weird vibration on his 6 liter, turned out it was the tires just slightly breaking traction but not fully burning out. Wasn't even wheel hop, just a slight skip at 3/4 throttle
