I believe I’m having a sensor issue, so I’m looking for the best way to check oil temp with IR thermometer.

Torque Pro shows -10 degree oil temp at startup compared to ECT. EOT climbs from there. Deltas blow up on highway to 30 sometimes. Torque pro shows 230 EOT. Canister shows 210, dipstick reads even less. Which one is accurate

So after warm up. ECT never gets above 205. EOT continues to climb to 240 sometimes.

EOT and ECT sensors are the same -- swap them and see if the problem moves

Your ECT should run around 210 ish on a normal day, if it is lower then the T-stat may be bad
also if the T-stat is stuck or not opening all the way, it can cause a slow ramp up in temps, then a continuing rise
