Hi all, first time poster and powerstroke owner! I bought this 03 6.0l and it runs great. It has the studs, egr delete, 175cc injectors, sct tune-all that fun stuff. I've noticed; however, when the truck is up to normal operating temp while ether being revved up or put in park after driven for awhile The rpms rise to 950. Now, when I apply the brake hard enough or turn on the AC the rpm returns to the 650(ish) position. I've leaned back and forth with this since I see The high idle mod being useful on these type of trucks, But a high idle mod that's permanent? That Doesn't make sense to me. Perhaps someone can enlighten me? Thanks!

P.S the truck has 200,xxx miles.
(Just breaking her in!)

Try putting truck back to stock and see if is the tune possibly doing it.

I don't think it would be since it's a canned sct tune. All three tunes result in the same thing. Perhaps I need an actual custom tune? I'm still new to diesels so forgive me

Forgot to mention, when put back in gear the rpms drop down to the normal level. Any suggestions?
