I have noticed that when I run empty the truck bounces all over the road and rides REALLY ruff (yea I know it’s a ton truck!) but when I put maybe 400 ish pounds in the bed it rides really nice! Almost feels like a different truck! And the best part is that the truck does not even know its there performance wise. So I was going to get a few bags of sand and throw them between the 5th rails and run. Or maybe fill a 55gal drum with water and strap it to the rails.

Anyone else do something like this for a better ride? Or am I just lame?

I have a 50gal aux tank with a tool box over the tank. That is over 800lb and it makes my truck ride real nice. Empty it sucks.

That sounds like a good idea! too bad that tank would never be full or even have a few drops in it :hehe: I would have to take out a second on my house to filler up!

Fill it with water/coolant so it won't rust as easy but still add weight.

Fuel costs are killing me!

The 50 gal is an IDEA!

I have to fill up every other day at about 120 to 135. If I got it all at once what would be the differance?
