I have a stock f350 drw the prob is my auto hubs don't work i can manually lock them and turn the switch and it works but i want it to work properly. Also the truck stops horribly hard pedal no stopping power. Was thinking it is the vacume pump any input?

There is a solenoid for the hubs that can go bad. That's the same problem I've had on mine. Switch only worked if I manually locked them.

Could be the vacuum lines, vacuum actuator, or the hubs themselves. If the hubs...then they need to be replaced and that is a Dealer only part...at about $250-$300 each.

My first guess would be to check and make sure the vaccum hose is still connected and not damaged.

Before you replace them, take them apart and give them a good cleaning & greasing ;)
^^this.

Also, the brakes use the power steering pump pressure (hydroboost) to operate. they have nothing to do with the vacuum circuit.
