Does anyone know of any "upgraded" or "better" O-rings than could replace the ones on the HPOP delivery tubes? I am seing alot factory o-rings that flatten out or tear. 75% of the time when a Powerstroke(especially a 6.0) comes in for cold start problems or cranks but will not start, we are seeing these o-rings defective. We also check the PCM and FICM for the latest cold start strategy. Of course, if the o-rings have failed then the HPOP cannot build enough pressure to fire the injectors. I am very close friends with a "mod friendly" dealer and we are trying to come up with a solution to this problem. Anyone have any input? Thanks

The O-Ring materials that hold up best to high temperatures and chemical exposure are harder and require better machining on the sealing surfaces to obtain a good initial seal. If the surfaces are nice and you can get a good initial seal then a PTFE o-ring should work. Otherwise, a Kalrez 4097 O-ring might be a good choice. In the quantities that your talking about McMaster-Carr is a great source for o-rings. McMaster-Carr
