I need some help / advice on my turbo on my 97 f350 7.3L Powerstroke. I got a leak on exhust side of the turbo where the exhust side bolt to the spacer. I got to looking at it, and noticed that the top two bolts are broke off. Is it better to go ahead and try to remove the broken bolts reassemble it, or just to go ahead and get a remanor a aftermarket turbo.

How many miles on your truck? Is there any play in the shaft right now?

292000 miles, I am not sure abut any play in the shaft. I use it as a daily driver, so I really need plan a day to set aside time to look at my truck. Also, If i do decide to go with a new turbo, are there any out there that i could look for to help increase power? The truck is still stock, and I really dont plan to chip it. I would like to get more power out of it since the 97 7.3 only has 225 hp.

If its original its probobly time for a rebuild. If you don't plan to chip your truck then stick with a stock turbo. A turbo by itself won't increase hp without more fuel added to the mix.
