Who's truck has spent the most days in, either consecutive or other?
Mine has 31 days total, but 20 of that was paint work under warranty. Now these 31 days are business days.
Anyone else?

Ugh mine's been in the body shop since before it was even thought of to be mine! It's been brought home every now and then but the work on it has been going on for like 5 months now I think. I've got a whole thread with the details if anyone cares. It's titled "Rob's Bodywork Thread"

Mine has not spent a lot of time at the shop but that is about to change since we found a slight leak in the tranny between the apater and teh gear box.... So it will be in the shop for a week I hear as they investigate the cause and correct it.

So far this is what has been replaced under warrenty:

One front headlight - it started to discolor inside the lens
Radiator - started to leak my son in law noticed it and replace it ASAP
Rear right back up sensor - stopped working
Right Rear tail light assembly - kept blowing out the reverse light bulb
Power point plug in center con. - plastic plug broke off
Ash tray - fell out of dash unit - never used tabs just broke.
Plastic covers at the bottom of the front seats, they cover the screw that hold seats in place - tabs broke off.

I have owned a ford truck or SUV since 1980 and I have to say that for a $50K+ the quality of some of the materials is pretty crappy. I'm also not to happy with the mechcanicals issues that have come up like the tranny and the radiator.

What is the "power point" plug in the console? I noticed a plug, not connected to anything, on the bottom passenger side of the console. Thanks.

My truck spent 7 weeks at Ford earlier this year. The first 5 1/2 weeks it never moved and when they went to work on it the batteries were dead. Still isn't fixed.

on a 2000, XLT, the power point one is the extra one on the dash next to the climate controls, it's got the little garage-door-like cover. The first one is by the pull-out ashtray. Sounds like you have a third? :dunno:

Actually I see the rear power point on mine. It is a 6.4. It was unplugged/removed for the custom amp mountings in the console. Thanks for the replies as I never go in the back of the truck. I DRIVE! :thumb:
