Under the hood in the fuse bank, check all fuses for dirt grime crud and looseness. Same goes for the relays under the dash by your left foot. Sounds like it is either that or a wire that is becoming frayed. Another thing to look for is see if the wires coming out of the dash into the engine compartment are getting any oil on them.
