Ya those dont help then haha.
It should throw a icp lower than desired code if the hpop is a issue iirc. My 7.3 did.
So holding the starter down doesn't register oil pressure on the dash?
If it were a 7.3 I would say cam shaft position sensor. I would guess that to be a good place to look on the 6.0. Sometimes it will run briefly after failing, sometimes not at all, sometimes will start and run for a few days after initial incident, but at any rate, only cure is a new one.
I think the last one I bought was around $30 at Ford. I bought 2 and keep one in the glove box, but I don't keep the 10mm wrench to pull get it off and on. The sensor is behind the serpentine belt on the passenger side of the block on the 7.3. Hard to get at but a do-able repair if your arms are long enough to reach from the ground. Use a good light and a mirror to find it and the first time it will pull out hard. Use a silicon or dielectric grease to prevent sticking if you ever have to do it again. Search around the forum, there may even be pictures of the repair. But no guarantee this is your problem but it is one of the most prevalent shut down problems on the 7.3.
