Looking to upgrade my stock converter on a 97 F-350. have a 4R100 trans. Pull or haul stuff 90% of the time with my truck. Looking at triple clutch converters. Anyone have one or can recommend one? What is the difference between it and a regular torque converter? Looking at ATS and Banks billets. thanks in advance....

x2 on what Gruss said. i have also been hearing that a 6.0 tqc will work. i dont recall if it needs mods or not, i think there was a thread with the info in the 99-03 section, $500 or so iirc.

A PI isn't recomended for a stock unmodded trans. A better less costly option is a 6.0 Tq converted made to fit the 7.3..less than half the price and holds up to what a chiped 6.0 can put out..PM me for pricing. Its a direct replacement.

Cary, does this take care of that shift/tqc lock indecision at about 36mph? or is that a VB thing?
