I have and 1995 F-350 XLT. The odometer stopped working. When I hit the trip button the trip meter does not show up, the button does nothing. It only shows the mileage. What might be the issue for why the trip meter button is not working, and how might I fix it?
Is your speedometer still working? Also, is it the entire odometer or just the trip function? The truck gets a speed signal from the VSS in the rear axle and sends it to the PSOM (programmable speedometer odometer module). If one function is working and the others don't, then you need a new PSOM. If it's just the trip function, I would pull the PSOM apart and check the button, however you need to know a bit about electronics if you go that route.
