i was doing a fluid check and i smelled the tranny lube and it smelled burnt, is it dying? do i need to change it? it also smelled slightly sweet, but it smelled more burnt.

If you think its burnt do a service asap. When it hits a certain temp the oil starts breaking down and no longer does its job.
