I think I was getting 12ish towing my 5th wheel that is probably about 11500 or 12 loaded. I think that was what the dash said but I can’t remember for sure

2017 Alpine 15,500k Truck is riding on 35s and I haven’t set it up for the tires so dash reads 8-9 Oregon to Yuma 65-75 most of the way.

'17 F350 Leveled and wearing 295/65R20 ( 35" tires) and pulling a 13,000 lbs GN Horse trailer. I run about 10.6 in Utah/Idaho/Wyoming. Usually drive 70 mph on interstate and 65 mph on two lane roads.

Our truck is mostly used for hauling our 16k# 5er. You can see in my Fuelly screen shots below, averaging 11 MPG. The graph tells the story....spike in the middle (June) was a trip with no trailer (approximately 1100 miles). Otherwise, all the other points are hauling. It's consistent if anything.

What app is that on your phone? looks like it would be handy to have.

FUELLY.

Pretty decent app. Allows you to log fuel, maintenance, etc. And because it's connected with your phone GPS, it knows the fuel station you're at so it auto fills the station name, date and time.

9 mpg @65mph but if I can keep it in the 55-60 mph range I'll get 10 mpg. Towing a 16.5K fifth wheel.

F350 CC SRW pulling a 40’ Alfa Gold 5er, approximately 17,500lbs. We’ve been from NorCal to Maine. Currently in Ohio with family, Indiana and grandkids next and then meander back home. 9000 miles so far. Mostly at 65mph. We have averaged 9.4mpg. Best I have seen over a full tank was 12.3mpg.

2018 F350 srw towing prolly 17k fifth wheel, anywhere from 9 to 11 totally depending on the right foot, I have towed the same unit with my 2011, 2017, and 2018. If I slow to 60-65 I can get 10+, 65 and up it just goes down depending on my speed. The trucks have pulled the f'ver so easy, keeping the speed down is the task... mileage is not my concern typically as I often have time issues related to work that make me want to cover the ground, mileage being a minor concern...

Driving faster to get somewhere sooner is mostly an illusion. Unless you are seriously exceeding the speed limit or driving a long distance, you are not really gaining anything. I love it when people drive aggressively and pass me and I end up next to or in front of them at the next traffic light. What did you gain? Nothing. And you used more fuel. I guess maybe you feel better. I'd rather use time management and be relaxed than rushing around trying to get where I need to be on time. https://lifehacker.com/does-speeding-really-get-you-there-any-faster-1556767685

I pull a 4H GN horse trailer. About 13,000 lbs when loaded.
Last couple of trips (SLC to Yellowstone) I got 10.6 mpg and I drove most of that trip on I-15 at 75 mph with the last hour of that on hiway 20 at 65 mph

Photo is from Wednesday this week trying to climb a 7% grade where I starting sliding sidewise and needed chains to finish the climb

Painted Horse that is an awsome picture. I have nothing to add to the thread but that, so cool.
