Well I have thought about this long and hard and really hate to do it but I have decided to go back to school in the fall to finish up my College education. No I am not selling my truck but stupid me instead of saving all the money I've made while working has spent it on my truck. What im thinking i need to do is pretty much go somewhere back to stock for realiablity and get some tuition money. It really sucks that im having to do this since the truck is just now coming around to be something sweet! At this moment im not 100% sure on this desicion and just wants some feed back on what you all think i should do and to see if there is anyone in the market for a fully built motor, ASB turbo, fuel system, nitrous, water injection, if anyone is interested in anything let me know and could possibly work out a whole package deal for the right price.....

Holy crap Tyler! Thats a whole lot of work to let go... I wouldn't get rid of the go fast toys if it were me, but I suppose you've got to do what's best for you. Did you ever get all the bugs worked out? I know back in April you had an issue with the throttle cutting out, did you get that figured out?

Honestly I've gone through similar situations where I've thrown a lot of money and time into something and just let it go.

And every time, I mean EVERY time, I always thought to myself, "why did I sell, I put so much time into it, I should have just held onto it because now I'm just starting from square one and spending more money in the long run"

How about student loans? Those can do wonders.

If it makes you feel any better I'd be interested in your motor.

student loans, govt grants?
Im in a similar situation....After 10 1/2 years, laid off Friday! New this was coming. Going to MMI in orlando paid for by the FTA, due to work leaving country. Anyway, at the end of July, I will recive a sum of money.
I want to buy a play toy thats not suitable as a daily driver, or finish several mods for my truck. Or buy a f350 on 22.5 alcoas. I was planning on playing with 15k. I figure I will have around 10k in playtoy or 6k in mods....either way my truck will have a new trannie and custom tunes. Decisions,Decisions.

You've done a lot of work to that truck. You don't want to let it go. I wouldn't. You won't recover near what you paid for all that stuff, and you'll still need to take out loans probably. I think you should keep it, and find another way to pay for school. You will regret it if you get rid of it, as said before.

Join the military. Hell, just join the guard, most states waive all tuition for their national guard members. Not to mention bonuses, GI Bill, plus a couple hundred dollars a month.

That would be an option, but if you do make sure your joining for the right reasons....It's a big commitmant, and the military is not for everyone.
