How much do you tow? I tow quite a bit and get by with D's. My very respectable tire company told me to put 70-75lbs in them when the sidewall says only 65lbs and that will get me more carrying capacity. Just an idea, I know D's can be quite a bit cheaper.

I've towed 44,000lbs gross and been just fine. Tire companies don't want you to know that their tires can actually handle more weight SAFELY than what is on the sidewall. That way they can sell you their E's for a much steeper rate. I just bought some toyo m-55's and the D's were almost $100 a tire cheaper than the E's.

Just to give you some perspective here's a picture of what I tow with D's.

Toyos, but you can get Nitto Terra Grapplers a bit cheaper (and they're made by the same people). My father pulls the same trailer with Yokahama A/T's load range D's and they have also been a good tire for a very reasonable price (cheaper than Nitto's by $20-$30). Just my opinion.
