I don't know never seen any in mine that I know of ,sounds like air getting in somewhere you have any leaks???No not the song.....
I was checking my engine yesterday...just listening and looking things over. I noticed small bubbles going into the degas bottle. Nothing major but they were constant. I have researched PS.org and noticed this could be the symptom for a bad head gasket or oil cooler. My question: Is a small amount of bubbling normal or should there be absolutely no bubbles feeding back to the degas bottle?? Many Thanks.
Ordered. Many thanks Doctor Green.Since you have an egr delete there is a good chance it is your head gaskets. Get some of this Block Chek - Store and check for exhaust gasses in the degass bottle. It'll let you know for sure.
Yes, or the amount of lost coolant could be so small, you wouldn't notice it.So is it possible to have a blown head gasket and not lose coolant ?
Humm.I. seemed to remember tiny bubbles coming from mine as well.good thing I am getting ready to do studs, but I wil checkk again this evening.Yes, or the amount of lost coolant could be so small, you wouldn't notice it.
I believe it is the line from the EGR Cooler?:dunno:Good call on the block check...Think I'll pick one up just to have.
To the OP...where and when exactly did you see the bubbles? Now I'm interested to see if mine does it.
Could you see the bubbles only from the outside of the degas bottle ?I believe it is the line from the EGR Cooler?:dunno:
Yes, that is how I first noticed them. I was standing at the front of the truck while it was running and at temperature. The motion in the degas bottle is what caught my eye. I am down right now waiting on a new alternator which should be here Wed. Once I get it installed, I will check it out further.Could you see the bubbles only from the outside of the degas bottle ?
