Tennessee and Alabama chapters get together

How about ideas for a joint Tennessee and Alabama chapters get together,

What kinda activities do we want?
Family activities, State park/ Campground, Lake/River, Mountains, diesel shop/dyno, drag strip/ sled pull

Seems like for a lot of us money is a bit of an issue so we may want to keep it cheap as possible so that more can come.

I figure if we can throw out a lot of different ideas then decide what we want to do then we can decide where and when.

So let’s start throwing ideas out;

Here is the some post in the TN forum;

"For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and Cleave unto him his wife and they twain shall be one flesh".
That’s one verse I believe in, I have taken care of myself and mine since I left home at 18 and I hope my children will follow that verse too, as in not keep coming back home to live or depending on us to support them and their families. IF so then I will be a free man in about 3 years!
I keep telling my wife she has to claim me. We've got papers on each other. I'd bring her, but I know she hates the heat. She lets me have my car/truck/hotrod time so she's perfect.
Does any of ya'll live anywhere near talladega i will be there for a week for the fall race
Yeah, I live about 30min away and usually go. I am not a big fan of racing but my Grandfather comes down from Tn to see it and thats the only time I get to see him.
i will be down their the tuesday before the race and leaving the monday after
I will more than likely be there. Do you know where you are staying?
One thing I noticed from reading the info in that link is that they don’t take reservations. Which means it will be first come first serve. So what is the possibility that there will not be enough room and that we will not be able to get campsites in the same area?
Should we make a plan B incase there is an issue?

I learned a really cool trick that is perfectly legal, moral and otherwise a good thing. We just need to know how many will be there kinda for certain. We can get some really cheap one person tents and set them up on all of the sites we need and the first one to arrive is you. :thumb: I will be glad to do the setting up and there are a few guys up here that will help too I would imagine.

That being said you allwas need a plan B. If all else fails we can go to the Lynchburg RV Park. How does that sound?

we are in camp ground c i think its the one right behind the tri oval
i was just wondering how far from tim's ford is fairview campground if we need to for more room its a satelite campground for tim's ford

It is close by, but they auction off the campsites in July for the entire season. I saw the have full hook ups and said eureka Tom will be happy then i read the fine print.
i would be happy to
i would be happy to

i am sure all of the guys with campers feel the same way. We will have a gtg someday where they have full hookups. :dunno::dunno::thumb:
i will make some calls to see if there is any spots still available there
I am posting for Robbie because he deserves the credit for this..................

We will be staying at the Fairview campgrounds. The campground is right on the water and much nicer than Tims Ford and the will let us make reservations a week out. PM Robbie if you are gonna' camp so he has an acurate count to reserve.

coope3 has offered his place for a emergency Plan B He has room and he can provide water and elcetriity via hose pipes and extention cords.
I will be there with a 28’ 5er and my buddy will be there too with a tent and a couple Deere's on the 20' GN. I do not have to have full hookup, my holding tanks will usually last about 3 days before requiring dumping, all I "need" is power for the AC, lights, and water pump.
Thanks guys for working out the details on this!
