heres my problem:
my 06 6.0 has been having long start times-5-8 seconds(not a slow crank-bats are good). i dont like to crank it that long so i break it into two crank cycles. on the second cycle it starts in about 3-4 seconds-this is after the glow plug light goes off.

when i dont wait for the glow plug light the truck fires right away????

im in florida so cold is not an issue. any sugestions

it sounds like you may have an stc fitting on its way out. dont explain the start without waiting on the light. need to monitor icp pressure on the long crank to be sure.

Thanks for the reply. My truck is still under warranty-would that be a covered repair?
should it throw a code if the preasure is low or is that something (preasure) that will get worse as the stc fails?
