Can someone give me some ideas to rid my 97 psd of squirrels that have nested under the hood on the drivers side by the brake booster.
I noticed the last couple of months that the squirrles or rodents had been removing the carpeting on the bunks on my boat trailer which is parked next to my truck in the driveway.
Well I was under the hood today and noticed foot prints in the dust on the engine. Low and behold there was a nest of carpet and grass near the brake booster. There was also damage to the the wiring coming from the power distribution box. This is the first time I've had any problems with this happening.
Any ideas to keep the buggers out ????

Go to the hardware store and get some baited poison. I don't remember the brand I use, but it comes in green pellets, and I believe it's scented like fish
or something that attracts squirrels and pack rats, field mice, etc. Just be
careful to keep it away from pets.

I have another old truck and car that don't get driven very often.
I put the poison on top of the air cleaner, and check it now and then.
It the poison disappears, I replace it with more. It works. I've found
dead rodents.

Thats what I was thinking. A good 1,000 mile road trip should provide you with roast squirrel.

Interesting. Alot of different Ideas. Fortunatly in the desert the last place you will find anything alive is under your hood. At least at this time of year.

What ever you do, DON'T let them stay long. They will destroy your truck fast.

1st: Get a 12-pack of your favorite beer.
2nd: Ice it down
3rd: Get or borrow .22 rifle
4th: Sit back in your rocking chair
5th: Drink beer mentioned earlier as you are waiting on the squirrels
6th: Give 'em hell!

You could always get some elbow length, heavy duty gloves and just reach in there and pull them out and pop their little heads off and then skin 'em out. :thumb:
