I am fighting an issue with my 7.3 where right when I feel as though it is going to start pulling it falls on its face and sounds like a jet plane. I have the ebpv unplugged and wired open in the right direction. It is very wierd. It use to run better in the morning and pull fairly hard and worse on the way home at 90 degrees outside and now it falls on its face all day. As far as driving it runs great and if I was 90 years old I wouldnt even care. I am pulling about 19 psi tops of boost even with my waste gate unhooked. I have checked for intake leaks and fixed the little ones I found with soapy water and can not find any soot anywhere. before I unhooked my EBPV I cleaned the tube and it was spotless when I took it off. :dunno: Truck has 120,000. The main thing I notice right now is my truck sounds like no other. It sounds great untill it starts pulling hard and then it sounds like a JET!! (100% for sure out of the exhaust). I have 4" exhaust back to a SPIN TECH muffler that then exits about 2 feet from the muffler infront of the tire. I read that spin techs have a custom sound and wonder if it is that terrible jet sound or if I am fighting the back side of the turbo such as the EBPV even though it is wired open or the turbine wheel or ?? I also pull 1350 exhaust temps very quickly and have to let off any time I get on it for 7-10 seconds.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Problem solved. My spin tech muffler was plugged bad. I cut it off out of curiousity and now it doesnt build egt's and it builds 26 psi of boost (computer shuts the fuel or something down at 22 as normal but still climbs to 26) and it doesnt defuel at 75%. Wow it actually kinda runs now
