I don't drive my truck that much. Maybe 1 day a week for 40 miles. Does sitting diesel collect water? Because for some reason my water in fuel light keeps coming on and I drain it with plenty of water in the fuel.

Combustive fluids constantly draw moisture from the air, which is why gas goes bad pretty fast. Also diesel will grow little bugs called "humbugs" when sat too long

I run Stanadyne in my truck and drive it way less than what you do. I always add more than recommended and haven't had an issue yet. Before Stanadyne I used Power Service in the white bottle and didn't have any issues using that.

This is off of Stanadyne's website, this is the Performance Formula that I use-
•Helps Remove Water - special demulsifiers cause tiny water droplets to come out of suspension/emulsion, so the filter/separator can more effectively remove water
•Stabilizes Fuel - antioxidants keep fuel fresher
