It's really not good for efficiency and overall engine health on any vehicle to constantly shut off and restart vehicles. It's mainly due to the lubrication not getting to proper operating temps and to all the spaces where it's needed.
If you are stock it also doesn't allow you to go into Regen to clean the DPF. I'm pretty sure short trips are what leads to increased fuel dilution. It just comes down to # of on/off cycles per oil change really.
I drive mine everyday for work and it runs in short trips (1/2hour) or so. The thing that pi$$es me off is the regen. I will change the oil and within a week it's contaminated with fuel. 7,500 more miles and it's delete....
