Sounds like you have the diode sprag. Another STUPID idea Ford stole from Chevy. It didn't work for Chevy and it didn't work for Ford. It's locked up, supposed to release when it shifts to 3rd. Two gears at one time means "slow down". With less than a 100,000 miles, you "might" get a trans shop to replace it without an overhaul, but probably not. Too much liability.
