The 6.4 intake has greater volume or internal area with less restrictions, that's why people use them. You have to make modifications to run your alternator though. Rocker p/n's are as follows and I don't remember which are which:Great post and write up. Currently my 05' 6.0 EX is under the knife as well. Bought her about three years ago with under 60k on the odometer and it's been a great runner up until recently when I started experiencing hard starting and finally heavy black smoke. I kind of always knew since purchasing it that this day would come so last week I pulled it down to the heads and starting this weekend I'll be putting her back together minus the turbo and injectors. Sourced the ARP's, gaskets and the IPR egr delete, oil cooler relocate kit and coolant filter.
Sent the stock injectors out for a check up and cleaning and the plan is to rebuild the charger.
Couple of questions? The ported fulcrums, anyone have part numbers? Does the 6.4 intake flow better ported than a ported 6.0, reason for the switch out?
Two and a half years later, and its still not done and over with :haha::haha::haha:Lol I'm actually enjoying getting dirty and doing the work myself, so I'll be more upset when it's done lol.
