I lost my act update cable and I'm in need of updating and I can't find them four sale anywhere. Would anyone be able to part with theirs for a few days so I can update my tuner? I'd be forever grateful

SF3 or TS? Isn't it just a standard USB cable? I don't have one, but the picture on their website looks like a standard USB cable for the SF3. Can't really tell about the Livewire TS from the pic, but I think it's standard too. If it is, you can pick one up at Walmart, Best Buy or pretty much any electronics store. Just a thought. Maybe someone who actually owns one can help you. :dunno: LOL

I just dug around my house for a cord. Chances are you have one from a camera or printer.

If you are updating a SF3 3015 or X3 3000, it's a standard USB Printer cord cable so check your printer, it's more then likely the exact same one.

Shipping both ways would pay for one itself. Snatch up the one off your printer. Just make sure one end is the "doghouse" style connector for the SCT.

Its for a luvewire 9600 its an old school dog house looking one but longer than your average computer one. I'll look at best buy! !

The firewire cable is not used to update the Livewire it is used to connect the EGT probe to the Livewire.

EDIT: I just noticed Marshall that you have a piece of velcro covering the USB port, remove that and use a standard USB cable to hook up to your computer to update the LiveWire.

Agreed, I have the same unit. A play station controller cord might work. The ends are kind of the same. Going off memory at this second since I don't have a tuner or a play station with me. Lol.

I have an SF3, not a Livewire but regardless, he's pointing at where a FireWire cables goes. The other cord would be a USB 2.0 (at least on the SF3). It has the full size connector unlike most other devices that use mini or micro. As a few guys said, usually printers use that cord.

Yep, for a Livewire 9600, use a PS3 controller charger cable, it's that type of connection. It's a different connection cord the the SF3 3015 / X3
