I have recently purchased a 2004 F350, CCPSD,Lari 4x4. It has appr. 112,000 on it with the Magnaflow turboback exh, EGR delete, and new head bolts. I know the man I bought it from and has taken good care of it. He purchased the SCT when he got the Liberator EGR delete, but didn't install it based off of his Techs concerns with chipping the 6.0L. Anyhow he offered me the SCT 200$ I think thats a far price and I've considered it just a little nervous not knowing what type of head bolts where installed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That's a good price for either the x3 or x2. Could be a little bit lower if it was the x2. Alot of guys on here run sct on stock bolts.

Thanks I was wondering because I've read and have spoke with many about the programming of the 6.0 and have relized its hit or miss some run for ever chipped and others last only a few thousand miles with a chip. It has been a delima of mine for a few months. Bottom line I'll try it the worst thing that can happen is it goes sky high and I start from scratch. Thanks for the heads up

How about this run the canned tow tune 50hp see how you like it, then do the 90hp street tune see how you like it, then try the 120hp performance tune and see why you will never got back to stock. But the SCT can return your truck to stock if you ever need it that way.

Really the only reason I'm interested in putting the SCT on it is for towing. I have a 38' toy hauler with 4 polarises that are pulled almost weekly through the Cumberland gap here in Kentucky. My buddys 01 with the 7.3l pulls my camper with the fourwheelers out the top at 70 with out down shifting. He also leaves me like I'm sitting still stop light to stop light. Now not to be confussed I'm not trying to be a smart*** or a dumb*** bottom line new to the deisel world love my truck and tell ya the truth it pulls great. I just like to have the extra power for the 12,400lbs of fun i pull around the east coast on any given weekend. Based off of the horror stories that have been circulating for years about the 6.0 I'm trying to ensure i watch my P's and Q's so not to cause any undo harm to my truck. I did forget to mention how ever it also has the K&N FIPK on it as well. I believe its set up nice for a small tune and don't think I'll have much problums just leary about the possiblity of screw it up and being with out a truck. My f150 FX4 pulled the camper for about 4years before i decided it was way over loaded and went to the big truck. Loved the FX4 and other than 7 to 9mpg when pulling it still runs great.
