We have the pic thread for the entire rig. Lets face it, I don't think there is anyone here that hasn't modded their RV. Post up some pics of your mods.

I just added a pair of 6v batteries. The original 12v marine batteries were done. Looking forward to having double the power available.

I had to build some mounts for the new taller boxes. They are plastic so I put a jam nut and washer under the mounting holes.

Then bolted the boxes on.

Then wired the batteries in series.

All covered up.

Don't have any pics of it, but a couple of trailers ago, I installed lights on the bumper of the trailer that were connected to the battery. I had a switch that I could turn on when backing the trailer up at night into a tight spot.

Here's what I did with my old 2 battery compartment

I figured it was a better place to put the solar stuff. This was me putting the solar on the roof

Another relatively easy project is to add a strip of LED lights. They operate off of 12V anyway(even the ones from Ikea, have a DC converter), so it works out well to add those to the RV.

I finally had time to get my other two 6v batteries installed this weekend....not the professional install I wanted but it'll do for now. Trailair pin box showed up today so I'll hopefully have it installed this weekend.

Thanks for the thread Scott!!!! I was thinking of doing it too. :thumb:

More mods today. Wife wanted hooks in the bathroom. The door is the only spot and it is hollow so she got hooks in the living room too. The screws for each board go through the door into the opposite board sandwiching the door.

I need to look at my inverter and see how/if it's hooked up. Didn't even know it was there until the first trip out.

Two days into the first trip we had to make this comfort "mod"

The jacknife couch had to go...to hard on the behind :)

We went shopping and found this...almost an exact fit.....

I've also changed out the thermostat with a digital one. Much better on both temperature and comfort. Actually fell asleep in the new recliner a few times :D

Nice couch!

On further inspection, I found that what I thought was an inverter was actually just a replacement charge control/rectifier for the DC power inside and out. Better than a sharp stick in the eye I suppose

Did a little work this weekend. I got tired of the flimsy piece of wood that Keystone used for the benches so I replace them with some 1/2" plywood I had. I also added some hinges and put Velcro on the back of the backrest cushions so they would stay in place. Now the only thing that needs to be removed to access the storage is the seat cushion. If anyone else does this, make sure you cut the lid short so that it clears the corner piece. I figured that out after I got everything screwed down. The wife is extremely happy. :D

I also had an extra LED chicken light that I have been kicking around the garage so I installed it under the steps. It is wired to the porch light. It doesn't look very bright in the pic but it does pretty good at night.

Very nice Scotty the body! lol Mine has the amber light behind the steps....works mint for drunken stair finding!

I made a couple mods to mine this weekend. I hacked up a cupboard door and mounted my coffee pot I stole outa the trade in.:D What!?........it's mine dam it.:haha: Besides, the new trailer didn't have one. Forgot to take a pic of that mod.

I also installed the new Trailair pin box with Tri-glide setup......very nicely built and looks like the sailing will be smooth in this land yacht. It was pretty easy to install. The darn thing weighs 185lbs so I slid it into the hitch and locked it in place then raised the front of the trailer way up and backed under it with a spotter.......worked sweet. I ended up having to trim the lower front corner of the factory pin box brackets to keep them from hitting the jaw of the hinge on the Trailair. Few pics below. Can't wait to tow with it!!!:D
