Okay i've read alot of posts so far trying to diagnose my problem but havent come up w/ the exact thing im having....

Last sat the truck ran great all day almost 100 miles we drove an then soon as I was close to getting home it ran rough never done this before almost like a misfiring so I limped it home (good oil pressure, normal egt's, normal boost) talked to a buddie he told me to unhook the batteries an let it sit for 5 mins so I did that went an restarted it an it ran like normal... Later that night I was low on fuel an almost to the truck stop it kinda jerked an stuttered again filled up an ran fine drove all day sunday now im back down to the low fuel light comes on an it did it a little on the way home from work an it smokes white smoke like when you hit the gas or on intial startups's but does clear out some...

Where should I start? I had one guy tell me the uvch ?? or could it be an injector?

Thanks!

Were you low on fuel as you were getting home? I'm having the same issue as you. I'm hoping I just got air in the system as I was low on fuel and got on it really good. Crossing my fingers it goes away...

Sounds like air in the lines. my benz has been doing this latley and I need to replace the fuel lines. rubber from 27 years ago is not holding up like new rubber :)

Simple test, keep the tank at half and above and if no issues come up for a while, run it down and keep a gas can with you!

I highly suggest the intake mod from itp. it will help with the air in the fuel lines beccause of the bad design of the pickup and connectors. This might also help you with your low fuel sucking air issue too.

That's odd then it probably isn't air in the lines.... Not sure what to say.

How long did it clear up for? a mile to the gas station? 75 miles on a longer drive?

Put a barrel or someting in the back of your truck filled with water and watch how much sloshing goes on. if there is a pinhole leak in the pickup that is exposed when the fuel sloshes around an air bubble will get in there. now if its under the fuel level when the truck is sitting still you could wave bananas at it and call it a temp fix :)

it cleared it up enough for about 20 miles until the fuel level was pretty low on the way to the truck stop

Keep it above 1/2 a tank and see what happens.
