Just changed my oil tonight from amsoil 15/40 to amsoil 5/40 for the winter. Immediately after oil change, engine runs rough. Cylinder #3 contribution/balance code. Obviously this is an injector issue. Had all 8 injectors replaced just over a year ago. Out of warranty. What do y'all think? Stiction? Think rev-x will help?

New Motorcraft filter. Billet aluminum cap. Been using cap for a long time without issues. Only difference is the oil.....my truck is possessed.

Anyone have any experience with similar issue? Strange that it ran fine before oil change. Give it nice new clean oil and it hates it. Strange :dunno: Rev-x on the way. Also ordered some AR9100 incase the rev-x doesnt help. I do have a spare injector on the shelf. I may end up having to swap out #3.

I don't have an answer for your issue, but I do have a question. How did you come across this code? Did you get a CEL, or do you have a super fancy scanner?

It all looked good. I'm thinking of pulling it back apart just to be safe.

Honestly it's probably all a coincidence. What injectors were installed? Ford remans?

1,2,3,5,6,7,8 are all reman by alliant. #4 is a reman from ford. Replaced #4 after having contribution/balance codes and intermittent issues with #4. Ended up being the ficm i got from swamps was faulty. They made good on it though. So I do have the injector i pulled out of #4 I can put in #3. Gonna see if the rev-x helps first.

Been running rev-x for two days and the miss from #3 is gone! My wife actually said "your truck is running good" and she doesn't usually notice these things! I guess I'll be holding off on replacing the injector for now.......
